After 6 years of competing in this class, the Lupine Corporate team finally took first place! On a field stacked with 18 teams, all riding fast from start to finish, this was a very competitive race right down to 11:59 sunday morning.

The race ran under some of the best conditions this event has ever seen. Temp’s were pretty much perfect, the coarse had some new single track sections that were great, and lap times were the fastest in history!

Our other soloist, Brad Patches and EWR Bikes soloist Craig Lander getting a pre-race interview. This was also Brad’s first attempt at 24hrs solo.

As usual, we raffle off 3 Lupine Lighting Systems after the race. Here are 2 of the lucky 3 winners.

All in all it was a great weekend of racing. Lupine had 2 Corporate teams taking 1st and 4th places. A 4 girl team finishing 4th and two soloist finishing 8th and 9th. We’re already making plans for next years race, as this has become “the” 24hr race to do in the Mid-Atlantic region!

For several years now GretnaBikes has co-sponsored 24hrs of 7-Springs, along with parcipitating in the race. This year marked the first year that the Lupine Corporate Team made it to the podium! Against a strong field of competitors and a very fast technical coarse, we managed to pull a 2nd place out of 16 teams!

A little strategy talk before the race. GretnaBill, Rob and Todd.

The race started Le Mans style, at noon on Saturday under heavy humidity and overcast skies.

Rob started out the race with the run and a first lap.

He also rode our last lap, but under crystal blue skies this time.

Brandon Draugelis, the 1st place solo is also sponsored by Lupine.

We also sponsored a 4-person womens team. Here’s Marcy riding in the heat.

The women also made it to the podium with a second place finish!

Citizens and visitors of London can watch a five-metre-high Swarovski snowflake, build by leading lighting designer Ingo Maurer, which is floating over Knightsbridge during the holiday season. The large snowflake made out of aluminium is illuminated from within by 32 Lupine Betty’s, lighting up the surrounding.
Swarovski and UNICEF will be selling miniature snowflake ornaments through Harvey Nichols and Harrods, a portion of which will be donated to charity.
A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all our customers from the Lupine crew.
